sewing
I did it. I made a bag. I don't like the end result, but I can proudly claim to have used the sewing maching to accomplish something new and different.

Date night!!
I came home from work and Pete had a fire going....we played yahtzee for the first time together. I whooped him (it was his first time playing...maybe I should have been nicer?).

Free wood - bring tools...
I've been so excited to build a fire in our fireplace...but the old owners didn't leave us much. Pete scours craigslist to find free wood. Well, free wood he found! Only catch? To even move any of it, you have to split it. So I went with him...sat in the truck and played some games on my phone, caught up on the news, etc...while he slaved away in the backyard at someone elses house. I provided water and a sweat towel...so i suppose I was good for something? He filled the truck in just over 2 hours and got a good workout in.
The wood is too wet to burn this year, so we'll be keeping our eye on CL...and hopefully finding some DRY chopped wood (wouldn't that be nice?!).
